Nobility crown MeanaNoble y antiguo linaje radicado en Asturias, pero que procede de los Señores de Vizcaya. Diego López, llamado "el Blanco", octavo, según algunos genealogistas, y noveno, según otros, Señor de Vizcaya, y su mujer doña María Ordóñez, tuvieron por hijo segundo a Sancho Díaz, Señor de Tovía, que vivió en 1134 y casó con doña María Díez Duque. Hijo segundo de este matrimonio fué Juan Sánchez, que procreó a Ochoa Ibáñez, que pobló y vivió en Aranguiz, y tuvo este hijo Juan Pérez de Aranguiz, Señor de este antiguo solar, del que fué segundo hijo Juan Pérez de Aranguiz, que pobló en Villela. Su tercer hijo Juan Pérez pobló en Butrón, vivió en tiempos del Rey don Alonso X "el Sabio" de Castilla y casó con doña Emilia de Estrada,. Le sucedió su hijo Ochoa Yáñez de Brutón, segundo Señor de esta casa, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Toda Yáñez o Ibáñez de Valmaseda, Señora de Gorte-Zubi, naciendo de esta unión Ochoa de Butrón, segundo del nombre, que murió, en unión de su padre, en 1275, en un encuentro que tuvo en Alamira con su primo hermano Iñigo Ortiz de Ibargüen, y Gómez González de Butrón, que sigue. Este Gómez González de Butrón sucedió a su padre y fué tercer Señor de la casa de Butrón. Casó con doña Mayor de Avendaño, y en ella procreó a Ochoa de Butrón, que tuvo entre otros hijos a Pedro Gonzalez de Butrón, que pobló en Gamiz y adquirió el territorio de Meana en Asturias. Contrajo matrimonio con doña María Treviño, naciendo de este enlace Gonzalo de M. y Treviño. ...
