Quivi rese segnalati servigi all'Impero ottenendo il titolo di conte del Sacro Romano Impero in persona di Giuseppe Antonio (1738) ed ereditario per maschi e femmine. Rodolfo, ottenne nel 1612 la laurea dottorale nella Università di Bologna. Il vivente Francesco di Mario ha aggiunto al proprio il cognome materno Ranghiasci, conservando l'uso dello stemma Melchiori. Altro ramo.
