Antichissima famiglia milanese alla quale appartenne, Adelmano che nel 948 fu proclamato di Milano da una parte del clero e del popolo, in opposizione ad un Manese eletto alla cattedra milanese da re Berengario. Tale duplice elezione generò lotte sanguigne che terminarono con la rinunzia dei due oppositori. Adelmano morì nel 956 e fu sepolto nella chiesa di S.
