Nobility crown MensanaFamiglia onorevole, che diede Menapassa Podestà di Cerea, e Lion Leardin, fatti uccidere da Ezzelino nel 1254. Mena Vescovile: la Mensa vescovile aveva il diretto dominio sui feudi di Corveglia, Castellinaldo, Montaldo Roero, Monteu Roero, Piea, Monticelli, Pocapaglia, Govone, Vezza, Cellarengo, Santa Vittoria, S. Stefano Roero, Piobesi, Magliano, Cossombrato, Castagnito e Castellino de Voltri, e ne dava l'investitura in retrofeudi a parecchie famiglie. La convenzione 3 luglio 1784 a rogito Cavalli, stipulata dal vescovo Paolo Maurizio Caissotti, dava al Re di Sardegna con i diritti feudali sopra Cortanze, i castelli di Menabò e della Cisterna e le decime di Salmuor. Questa cessione, fatta col benemerito pontificio, fu sanzionata con RR. LL. PP. 27 luglio 1784.
