Nobility crown MirallesEl linaje de este antiguo y noble apellido es de Cataluña, donde se extendió bastante. Su primitivo solar radicó en la ciudad de Lérida. Algunos de sus antiguos caballeros asistieron a la conquista de Valencia. Pedro M., nacido en Barcelona, fue comandante y cabo de una escuadra cuando el Rey Don Jaime I "el Conquistador" puso sitio a Sueca. Tuvo un desafío con un robusto moro natural de Meca. al que quitó de un revés la muñeca. Jamás se despojó de la armadura. Así refiere Mosén Jaime Febrer. Valero M. fue otro de los caballeros que tomó parte en la conquista del reino de Valencia. Junto al Grao de Murviedro (hoy Sagunto), hizo una gran presa de ganado vacuno, con lo que se abasteció el ejército ne muchos días. Entró en la dehesa con muy poca gente, y dentro de un matorral cautivó veinte moros, con su capitán. Pasaron también los M. a la provincia de Alicante, estableciéndose en varios lugares. Luis M. fue baile de Novelda, otros vivieron en Monfort. De Cataluña er Maeto M., armado caballero por el Rey Don Fernando "El Católico" el 15 de marzo de 1493. Bisnietos suyos fueron Mosén Jaime Juan de M., Francisco Angel y Cristóbal de M., que residieron en Castellón de la Plana y en Burriana. Los M. de la Isla de Mallorca tuvieron su casa solar en la villa de Montuiri, del partido judicial de Manacor. De ella procedió Gaspar M., padre, en su mujer Doña Francisca Zaforteza, de Gaspar M. Zaforteza, caballero, que casó con Doña Isabel Doms (hija de N. Doms y de Doña Onofra Zanglada). A finales del siglo XIX fueron muchos los hombres y mujeres que portando el apellido Miralles de origen Catalán, cruzaron el Atlántico huyendo de la crisis, de final de siglo, que acometía a Europa a igual durante el transcurso de la 2da Guerra Mundial.
