En la ciudad de Urgel, también de Lérida, hubo una casa de este apellido; otra, en la comarca del Penedés (Barcelona), y otra en la ciudad de Tarragona. De esta última procedió Raimundo M., que pasó a la conquista de la ciudad de Játiva (Valencia), donde sostuvo un desafío del que salió mal herido. Marchó con diez de a caballo y treinta almogávares contra los rebeldes de Murcia, pasando después a guardar la villa de Petrel y el Valle de Elda. Por último, se dedicó con su gente a talar los sembrados de Guardamar. Este caballero es el progenitor de los M. de Valencia, de los que nos ocuparemos después.
