R. (20.12.1793), proprietário do ofício de Escrivão do Consulado da Alfândega do Porto (11.6.1783), mercês concedidas em sucessão a seu pai Manoel Rodrigues Machado (excepto a do foro de cavaleiro). O capitão Rodrigo Machado descendia, por linha de legítima varonia, de João Roiz e sua mulher Domingas Fernandes, que viveram em Braga na 1ª metade do século XVII, e cujo filho João Rodrigues, reposteiro da Real Câmara (1688), c. na freg. do Sacramento, Lisboa, a 27.7.1670 com Martha Machado, n. em Lisboa a 11.12.1647, filha legítima de Sebastião Machado, natural da Serra d'el-Rei (antigo concelho de Atouguia da Baleia), bapt. a 29.1.1625, filho de Sebastião Francez e de sua mulher Beatriz Francisca, dos Machados de Serra d'el-Rei (de onde provêm também os Gamas Leais, da mesma localidade), parentes de Jerónimo Figueira Machado, de Atouguia, a cujo neto foi passada, a 6.7.1767, carta de brasão com armas deste apelido. De João Rodrigues e Martha Machado foi filho João Rodrigues Machado, n. na freg. de S. Paulo, Lisboa, a 24.9.1684, criado particular de S. M. el-Rei D. João V e proprietário do ofício de Feitor da Alfândega do Tabaco, de Lisboa (9.7.1730). ...
