Radicó esta noble y antigua familia en la ciudad de Toledo y fué, sin duda, una familia hispano-romana, cuyo apellido procede de "mulceo es mulsí mulsum", que significa halagar. La amabilidad, la benignidad, la cortesía, el agrado de los miembros de este linaje, hicieron sin duda que los llamaron así, desde los tiempos de la reconquista de la imperial ciudad. Los M., forman actualmente una familia hispano-italo- sudamericana. Albino M., Capitán español, se cubrió de gloria luchando con la morisma. Antonio y Angel M., Coronel y Comandante, respectivamente, de Fernando de Córdoba, quedaron en Italia, donde el apellido español fué adaptado al italiano Muccioli. Dejaron descendencia en Bolonia, en la república de San Marino, en Urbino, donde adquirieron el Castillo de Borgo Pace, y en Pesaro. En 1536, Luis M., era Maestre de las entradas del Duque Francisco M. de la Rovere; Jerónimo M. fué en 1534 Consejero de la ciudad de Pesaro; Monseñor Gregorio M., Obispo de Agatópoli en 1823, y Benedicto M., célebre pintor en 1592. De una certificación dada por el Rey de Armas, Luis Rubio y Ganga Yarto, en 12 de Abril de 1920, copiamos la siguiente genealogía. Bautista M., que vivía en 1573, había nacido en 1512, y fué padre de Sebastián M., que contrajo matrimonio en San Angelo de Lizzola el 17 de Febrero de 1573, con doña Lucía de Ciarla, y falleció en el Castillo de la mencionada ciudad el 20 de marzo de 1597, dejando este hijo Santiago M. de Ciarla, nacido en Angelo de Lizzola. ...
