Nobility crown MusíoEl origen de este ilustre apellido, por referencias de historiadores de la época y otras averiguadas por Araldis en los archivos registrales de ciudades y otros privados, podríamos afirmar, pero no asegurar, que este escudo u otro muy similar a él, apareció inicialmente desde el siglo XI al XIV, particularmente en la batalla de las Navas, acompañando al insigne arzobispo Rodrigo Jimenez de Rada en el asalto final y se dice que un miembro de esta familia es el que se apropió del famoso tapiz que suele llamarse "pendón de las Navas". Las referencias de esta familia parecen precisarse con más frecuencia desde el siglo XV al XIX en especial los hechos de la celebración de las fiestas y justas que se celebraron en Madrid con motivo de la venida de D. Carlos, príncipe de Gales, hijo de Jacobo I, en tiempos de Felipe IV. Todo ello parece coincidir con la memoria familiar de algunos de los miembros de la rama de la familia Musío. Son sus armas: En gules, un palacio, de plata aclarado de gules, y en la puerta un león rampante, de gules. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia M., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento león , que es la más noble de las figuras junto con el águila, significa que el origen familiar es muy antiguo o del Reino de León o de Inglaterra, generalmente podríamos pensar que los poseedores de tal símbolo estaban emparentados de alguna forma con la realeza. Los esmaltes del arma de los M. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Gules es el símbolo de la fuerza, del poder, del amor ferviente a Dios y al prójimo, tal es el significado de este esmalte, a lo que habría que añadir el afán de dominio, el coraje, la audacia, la fortaleza y la magnanimidad, un alto porcentaje de este tipo de escudos familiares se dieron por actos de guerra. ...
