E' una delle più antiche famiglie nobili di Vicenza, ascritte a quel nobile Consiglio. Augusto II, re di Polonia, con diploma 11 agosto 1716 concesse a Giovanni Battista e ai cugini Mutton e loro discendenti (mf.) il titolo di conte, titolo che fu iscritto per terminazione 26 novembre, dello stesso anno, dai provveditori sopra i feudi in A.L.T. Questa famiglia, a cui furono aggiunti i cognomi Guzzi Berretta, adducendo la proprietà di un possesso in Villa di Casale, territorio vicentino, alla quale erano uniti certi diritti feudali, chiese ed ottenne per terminazione 29 maggio 1765 del Magistrato dei Provveditori sopra Feudi della Repubblica veneta di essere iscritta nell'A.L.T. col titolo di conte, maschi da maschi. Camillo, di Antonio, fu confermato nobile e conte con i S.R.A. 22 settembre 1820 e 13 aprile 1829. Giov. Battista e Francesco Gabriele di Girolamo ebbero confermata la nobiltà con S.R.A. 24 novembre maggio 1902. ...
