Il conte Antonio Muzzarelli ammesso alla nobiltà di Parto con Rescritto del 19 aprile 1844 nacque in quella città dal conte Bartolommeo Muzzarelli appartenente a famiglia nobile patrizia di Ferrara e dalla contessa Angiola del balì Bartolommeo Verzoni. Il predetto Bartolommeo Muzzarelli assume il cognome Verzioni in virtù della scritta matrimoniale del 10 nov. 1781, poichè questa famiglia veniva ed estinguersi nella signora Angiola sua moglie. I Verzoni erano stati inscritti alla nobiltà di Prato con decreto Sovrano del 20 aprile 1764. Questa famiglia ha comuni origini colle antiche famiglie fiorentine dei Galigai o Tignosi.
