Nobility crown NavaExisten diversas familias de este apellido en España, sin que tengan relación alguna entre sí. La Casa de Nava de Tenerife, sin embrargo, procede en línea directa de Alvaro Vázquez de N. Conquistador de Granada, de la Casa del Gran Maestre Don Alonso de Cárdenas, de quien fue gran amigo y favorito; vivió en Jerez de los Caballeros reinando en Castilla la Señora Reina Católica, a quien sirvió con valor y lealtad. Casó con Doña Francisca Rodríguez Reales, hija de Ruy González Reales, de la noble familia de su apellido en Extremadura y due su hijo: Don Alonso Vázquez de N., I del nombre, natural de Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz), que anduvo con su padre en las guerras de Granada y se estableció en Tenerife General en 1532. Contrajo matrimonio en La Laguna, año 1532, con Doña Beatriz de la Guerra, poseedora en parte del Valle de Guerra en Tenerife. Tuvo nueve hijos, siendo sucesor en el Mayorazgo, el primogénito Don Alvaro Vázquez de N. Por el enlace entre Don Alonso Vázquez de N., II del nombre, llamado así en memoria de su abuelo paterno, fundador de la Casa, tercer poseedor en el Mayorazgo, Regidor Perpetuo de Tenerife y Doña Antonia Grimón y Hermerando, entraron en la Casa de N. los Mayorazgos de la de Grimón, al morir sin posteridad legítima sus últimos representantes. Don Pedro de N. y Porlier, vecino de La Laguna de Tenerife, probó su nobleza para ingresar en la Orden de Santiago en 1781. ...
