La branche des seigneurs de Chassignoles en Auvergne a donné: un capitaine au régiment de Beauvoisis, chevalier de St-Louis, qui assista à l'assemblée de la noblesse à Riom en 1789, signa l'acte de coalition et servit à l'armée de Condé. Son fils, possessionné à Brioude, est porté sur la liste des èmigrés de la Haute-Loire. Convoqués au ban de la noblesse d'Auvergne (1675). Une admission au chapitre noble de Blesle avant 1787. La distinction familiale représentée ici sous forme de blason, survit à travers les siècles grâce à des précieux témoignages qui nous ont permis de rapporter les exploits et les gestes de cette noble famille.
