Este linaje procede de la villa de Zumárraga, del partido de Vergara (Guipúzcoa). Otra casa, derivada de esta primera, hubo en Villareal de Urrechu, del mismo partido, y de ella procedió Cristóbal de Necolalde, que casó con doña María López de Lasalde, y fueron padres de Lope de N. y Lasalde, que en 1547 contrajo matrimonio con doña María de Araá y Avendaño, y de Domingo de N. y Lasalde, que en 1553 celebró su enlace con doña Catalina de Pamames, en la que tuvo a Miguel y Juan de N. y Pamanes. Miguel fué Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, Veedor de S. M., y verificó pruebas de nobleza en 1628. Casó con doña María de Zabaleta y Galdós, y procrearon a Francisco, religioso Carmelitana, y Luis de N. y Zabaleta, Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, ingresado en 1686. De la misma casa procedió Juan de N. y Barrenechea, Secretario de S. M., Veedor general de Flandes, Alcalde de Villareal de Urrechu y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en 1630. Casó con doña Antonia Hurtado de Mendoza, y tuvieron a Juan, Caballero de la Orden de Santiago en 1648; Diego, Caballero de la misma Orden en 1654, y Antonia de N. y Hurtado de Mendoza, que casó con Bernardo Hurtado de Mendoza, que la hizo madre de José Joaquín Hurtado de Mendoza y N., nacido en Vitoria en 1670 y esposo de doña Rafaela Gregoria de Foronda.
