Special ricordo va dato al giovane ingegnere Ugo, tenente aviatore, che, dopo aver dato innumerevoli prove di valore, perdeva la vita in combattimento aereo a Valsugana il 3 luglio 1916 e venne decorato, alla memoria, con medaglia d'oro al valore militare. L'eroico gesto venne illustrato alle truppe, con una commossa rievocazione, da Gabriele d'Annunzio. La famiglia è oggi insignita nel suo ramo primogenito, dei titoli di duca sul cognome, con anzianità del 1722, e di marchese di Marescotti, con anzianità del 1719, ed è iscritta con i detti titoli nel Libro d'Oro della Nobiltà Italiana e nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare. ...
