O. es linaje de Aragón y tuvo antigua casa solar en la villa de Tauste, del partido judicial de Egea de los Caballeros (Zaragoza). Algunos de sus individuos sirvieron al Rey aragonés don Jaime I en la conquista de Valencia, siendo allí heredados. Mosén Jaime Febrer cita a Pedro de O., del que dice que pasó de Tauste a la campaña contra los moros en las tierras valencianas, hallándose en la acción de Biar. Añade que peleó con tal denuedo en su primer combate, que obligó al Rey a socorrerle en el empeño en que estaba. Habíanle cercado diez enemigos, y él se defendía y ofendía con una clava, guarecido tras los troncos de dos pinos. Esta proeza divulgó su fama. Don Jaime I le premió dándole la mitad del lugar de Almácera. Un caballero O. fué Justicia de Aragón. Otro, llamado Martín de O., juró al Príncipe de España en 1646. ...
