Ya florencía este linaje en Cataluña durante el reinado de don Pedro I de Aragón. Algunos de sus caballeros se revelaron contra dicho monarca, siendo ajusticiados varios de ellos. Otros, para librarse de las represalias de don Pedro I, pasaron al Rosellón y a Murcia, quedando allí radicados. Fernando O. figuró entre los regidores de Murcia. Otras casas de O. hubo en la ciudad de Tarragona, en Urgell y en la villa de Cardona, del partido judicial de Berga y provincia de Barcelona.
