Un Orlando della famiglia ononima di Pisa ne trasferì un ramo a Pescia. Guglielmo, suo figlio nel 1145, comandò le truppe pesciatine contro i Lucchesi che desolavano col saccheggio la valle di Cascina, e Gabriello, di lui fratello nel 1155 ebbe il comando di varie galee mandate in Sicilia in ajuto di Re Guglielmo.
