Don Gonzalo P. y Muñoz contrajo matrimonio en Santa Cruz de Tenerife el 17 de octubre de 1894, con Doña Olimpia Ladevéze y Real. De este matrimonio era hija Doña Cándida P. y Ladevéze, que casó con Don Alvaro Fernaud de la Rosa. Don Gonzalo P. era hijo de Don Juan P. y Soto, Guardia de Corps de la Real Persona, Coronel de Caballería, Cruz de primera clase de San Fernando, y de Doña María de los Dolores Muñoz y Gaviria; nieto paterno de Don Juan P. y Blanes, Mariscal de Campo de los Reales Ejércitos, héroe de la Guerra de la Independencia y de Doña María del Patrocinio de Soto y Díaz. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia P., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento encina es símbolo de animo fuerte y constante en heroicas acciones y empresas valerosas.
