Nobility crown PelegríEn Cataluña es muy antigua una familia de este linaje. Tuvo su casa solar en la ciudad de Lérida. Uno de sus primitivos varones era comendador de la Orden de San Juan, en 1175. También es muy antigua la casa de este linaje en Mallorca. Se mantuvieron fieles al emperador Carlos V durante las luchas contra los comuneros, y su lealtad fue premiada con privilegios de nobleza y de franquicia de impuestos. Tenían en aquella época su solar en la ciudad de Alcudia y sus ramas crearon nuevas casas en Artá, en Porreras y en Palma. Hijo del solar de Alcudia fue Jaime P., que se estableció en Porreras, y procreó a Bernardo P., natural de Porreras, y padre de Bernardo P. segundo del nombre, que en su mujer, doña Juana de Mora tuvo a Jaime P. de Mora, que casó con doña Sebastiana Barceló, naciendo de este enlace: Miguel P. Barceló, que sigue, y Benito P. Barceló, capitán de caballos corazas. En premio a sus servicios y a los de sus ascendientes, le concedió el rey don Carlos II privilegio de caballero de 1 de marzo de 1678. Miguel P. Barceló casó con doña Catalina Ferragut, a la que hizo madre de Miguel P. Ferragut, que pasó de Porreras a Palma de Mallorca, fundando en esta ciudad la casa de P. que aún subsistía en fines del pasado siglo. Estuvo casado con doña Margarita Roca, en la que procreó a Miguel P. Roca, marido de doña Magdalena Serra, y ambos padres de el doctor Miguel P. Serra, fallecido el 16 de marzo de 1795.
