La terra di Meduna nel Patriarcato di Aquileia, dopo essere stata feudo dei Caminesi e dei Torriani, nel secolo XIV veniva dal patriarca concessa in custodia ed amministrazione ad un consorzio di famiglie, che eleggevano per turno un capitano e il loro rappresentante al Parlamento della Patria, dove Meduna aveva voce di comunità. Nel 1420, colla caduta del Patriarcato, Meduna passò a Venezia, e la reggenza di questo luogo fu concessa a titolo perpetuo ai Michele P.V. i quali amministrarono la giurisdizione assistiti da altre 14 famiglie consorti. Una di queste era la Perocco, che venuta in possesso per donazione inter vivo fattale dal rev.
