En Cataluña, Valencia y Menorca. Una rama residió en la villa de Cúllera, del partido judicial de Sueca y provincia de Valencia, y luego en la ciudad de Mahón (Menorca). Bautista S. y doña Vicenta Piris, vecinos de Cullera y de las más antiguas familias de ella, fueron padres de José S. Piris, de la misma naturaleza, que casó con doña Margarita Blanquer Sart, siendo su hijo Alejandro Juan Bautista S. y Blanquer, natural de Cullera, que contrajo matrimonio, el 15 de abril de 1762, en la parroquia de los Santos Juanes, de Cullera, con doña Magdalena Bautista Fort y Grau, y tuvieron este hijo Sebastián S. y Fort, natural de Cullera, que casó en 24 de diciembre de 1802, en la iglesia de los Santos Juanes, de dicha villa, con doña María Rosa Ruano y Grau, naciendo de esta unión José Antonio S. Ruano Fort y Grau, nacido el 21 y bautizado el 25 de enero de 1821 en la repetida parroquia. Abrazó la carrera de las armas, ingresando en la Real Academia Militar de Distinguidos, de Valencia, de la que, no habiendo aún terminado sus estudios y a los quince años de edad, salió voluntario para la guerra, volviendo después de terminada ésta a continuar sus estudios. Siendo capitán, contrajo matrimonio en Mahón (Menorca), el 1 de agosto de 1858, con doña Cecilia Antonia Feminias Aledo Giraud y Amat, en la parroquia de Santa María. En Mahón quedó establecido, retirándose de teniente coronel. Era caballero de la real y distinguida Orden de San Hermenegildo y poseía la Cruz del Mérito Militar. ...
