Originaria di Sacile, questa famiglia fu ascritta a quel Consiglio nobile in data 28 marzo 1688, in seguito ad una cospicua offerta fatta in concorso colle famiglie Floridi di Prata e Mazzarolli, alla comunità, per sovvenire alle grandi strettezze della Repubblica Veneta in conseguenza del prolungarsi della guerra di Candia. Quando il Governo austriaco invitò la nobiltà del Lombardo Veneto a presentare le prove dei propri diritti nobiliari, i membri della famiglia non credettero di accedere all'invito. Si presentarono invece al riconoscimento italiano, rimanendo iscritti nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile di Sacile (maschi e femmine). Lo stemma che occupa la seconda parte della partizione dell'arma Piovesana è quello della famiglia Crestina di Roma, e fu assunta per successione.
