Nobilissimo casato sardo, originario di Ossi, al quale, Carlo Emanuele III, re di Sardegna, coi diplomi in data 31 agosto 1748, concedeva i titoli di cavaliere e di nobile, in persona di Antonio Giuseppe Piras, già defunto e dei suoi figliuoli e discendenti per linea maschile.
