Nobility crown PontLinaje catalán muy antiguo y noble, probablemente originario de alguna de las villas o lugares denominados P. que existen en las cuatro provincias catalanas y cuyo nombre tomara. Se extendió por Cataluña y pasó a Valencia y a las islas de Mallorca y Cerdeña. También hubo casa de este apellido en la villa aragonesa de Luesia, del partido judicial de Sos y provincia de Zaragoza. Los P. de Cerdanya radicaron en la villa de Osseja y una de sus líneas se trasladó a Cataluña y residió en el lugar de Malmecart, del partido judicial de Sort y provincia de Lérida. Ascendiente de esa línea fue Pedro de P., natural de Osseja, que obtuvo privilegio militar por real decreto de 24 de marzo de 1639. Casó con doña Juan Cadell y procrearon a Francisco de P. Cadell, marido de doña Francisca Trinyach, y ambos padres de Francisco de P. Trinyach, que contrajo matrimonio con doña María de Codol. Otra línea pasó a residir en la villa de Puigcerdá (Gerona). Hubo hidalgas casas de este apellido en la veguería de Urgell (Lérida), en el Rosellón y en el Empordá. En Mallorca ya existía esta familia desde el siglo de su conquista, pues Arnaldo P. era canónigo de aquella santa iglesia en el año de 1219. En el último tercio del siglo XIV fueron jurados de la ciudad y reino Guillermo, Ramón y Pedro P., y continuaron desempeñado igual cargo en los siguientes siglos otros miembros del mismo linaje. ...
