La gran antigüedad de este linaje llevó a algunos cronistas a remontarla nada menos que al año 486, en que Clodoveo conquistó al Galia gótica que gobernaba entonces, por los romanos, el Capitán Silario. Cinco siglos más tarde es cuando la antigüedad de este linaje aparece con mayor veracidad histórica en la persona de Jimén Aznar de P., a quien el Rey don Sancho IV "el Grande", de Navarra, le nombró Capitán General de su reino en el año de 1012. Casi un siglo después, en 1102, era gobernardor de Navarra Reynaldo de P., y éste fué padre de Pedor Gómez de P., el cual, cuando doña Blanca de Navarra (hija del Rey navarro García Ramírez "el Restaurador", séptimo del nombre", casó con Sancho III "el Deseado", Rey de Castilla, pasó a este reino como Mayordomo de la Reina y pobló en el Valle de Porres o Porras, al que dió por nombre su apellido, edificando en el lugar llamado después Ciudad de Valdeporras, una casa fuerte con su cava y cuatro torreones, verdadero y primitivo solar en España del linaje que venimos estudiando. Dicho Pedro Goméz de P. procreó a FernánRuiz de P., mayorazo y Señor de aquel solar, de quien fué hijo otro Pedro Goméz de P., mayorazgo también y padre de Diego Gómez de P., que sucedió en la casa y procreó a Juan de P., Doncel del Rey Fernando III "el Santo". Descendiente inmediato de ese último Juan, y tal vez hijo suyo, fué Lope García de P., Señor de la casa y torre fuerte de Porras o Porres y del Valle del mismo nombre. Otra casa muy antigua. El Licenciado Esteban De P., natural de México, hijo de Diego de Madrid de Avendaño y de Beatriz Mendes de Sotomayor, con su mujer doña Isabel de Ulloa, natural de Castromocho, hija de Cristóbal Sores de Ulloa y de doña Catalina Cedano, y su hijo Juan de P., nombrado Escribano por decreto de la Compañía de Indias el 16 julio 1577, emprendió viaje a Nueva España el 14 julio 1578 desde el puerto de Sevilla, según consta ...
