Una familia de este apellido tuvo casa en la villa de Lebrija, del partido judicial de Utrera y provincia de Sevilla, y a esa casa perteneció Tomás P., natural y vecino de Lebrija, que casó con doña Inés Ortiz y procrearon a Diego P. Ortiz, natural de Lebrija, que pasó al Perú en mediados del siglo XVII. Fué Capitán y dueño del navío "Nuestra Señora de Loreto". Casó con doña Francisca Garcés de Marcilla, natural de Santiago de Chile, naciendo de esta unión Diego P. y Garcés de Marcilla, natural de Santiago de Chile, Fiscal de la Real Audiencia de Buenos Aires, Oidor de la de Santiago de Chile en 1678 y también Oidor de la de Lima. Contrajo matrimonio en la Catedral de esta última ciudad peruana con doña Rosa María de Meneses, natural de Santiago de Chile (hija de Francisco de Meneses y de doña Catalina Bravo de Saravia). Don Diego falleció en Lima el 27 de Septiembre de 1708 y fué sepultado en el convento de San Francisco. En su matrimonio tuvo estos hijos: Diego Francisco P. Meneses Bravo de Saravia, bautizado en la Catedral de Lima el 12 de Abril de 1689; José Alejo P. Menese, que sigue; Francisco Esteban P., bautizado en la Catedral de Lima el 16 de Febrero de 1700; Fernando Crisólogo P., nacido en Lima; María Isabel P., bautizada en Lima el 14 de Julio de 1694; Juana Rosa P.; María Josefa P.; Marcela María P.; María Francisco P.; Teresa; Catalina; Rosa Manuela, y Mencía P.
