En Gironde, Departamento de Burdeos (Francia), hay un pueblo llamado Pessac. Con la variante de P., existió un Señorío en la Navarra francesa, que poseyó don Bernaro La Sala Berges (hijo de Juan de La Sala y de doña Ana de Berges y nieto de Bernardo La Sala y de doña María ana Belloc). Dicho don Bernardo de La Sala Berges era vecino de Valencia, pero natural de la parroquia de Lees, en Francia, en donde como dueño territorial y Señor de la jurisdicción, nombrada Alcaldes y Jurados, adiministraba justicia, percibía los diezmos y presentaba curatos. Por Real cédula de 23 de Marzo de 1751, obtuvo en Espapa confirmación de la nobleza que había justificado ante el Parlamento de Pau. En el Colegio Heráldico de Francia se conservan los siguientes documentos referentes a caballeros de este linaje: Recibimiento en los Estados de Bearn del Señor de Prechac, de Poey y de Buzy, 23 de Junio de 1650; recepción del Maetre Juan P. como Consejero del Parlamento de Navarra, 23 de Mayo de 1693. La rama de la que se derivó la línea que pasó a España había tenido su asiento en el lugar de Prechacq Navarreux (por Géronce): Mr. Pierre de Pessac, vecino de dicho lugar, casó con M. Madaleine de Hondarrez, en la que tuvo a Mr. Jacques de Pessac, nacido en Prechacq Navarreux, el 14 de Junio de 1716 y casado allí con Madame Marie de Casamayor, de la misma naturaleza, bautizada el 20 de Febrero de 1711. Mr. Jacques de Pessac falleció en el repetido lugar, el 11 de Enero de 1797. ...
