Nobility crown ProleónDos familias asturianas, la de Pro y la de León, radicadas ambas en el Concejo de Corvera, del partido judicial de Avilés, enlazaron en principios del siglo XVII, y esto dió motivo a que sus sucesores unieron los dos apellidos, formando el de P. He aquí como aparece efectuada tal unión en la genealogía de un expediente de pruebas de la Orden de Calatrava: Leonor de Pro y Solís, natural y vecina de la parroquia de Solís, del Concejo de Corvera, casó con Juan Rodríguez de León, natural de la parroquia de Trasona, en el mismo Concejo, y fueron padres de Mateo de P., natural de Solís y Regidor, que uniendo el apellido materno de Pro al paterno de León se apellidó P., así como sus descendientes. Contrajo matrimonio con doña Ana María de Montemayor Sánchez de Medrano, natural y vecina de Lima, en el Perú (hija del capitán Francisco de Montemayor y de doña Rufina Sánchez de Medrano, naturales de Madrid), naciendo de esa unión Francisco de P. Montemayor, natural de Lima, Marqués de Celada de la Fuente y caballero de la Orden de Calatrava, en la que ingresó el 15 de Septiembre de 1689, y El Capitán de Caballos Mateo de P. Montemayor, natural de Lima, también Caballero de Calatrava con igual fecha que su hermano. ...
