Bonitacca, detto Bonvicino della Tacula, vive l'anno 1096. Ad un placito, tenuto in Reggio l'anno 1136 dalla moglie dell'imperatore Lotario, assistevano con altri signori e vassalli Cacciaguerra e Oliverio della Tacula. Presero parte attiva alle fazioni cittadine, diedero alla patria consoli, difensori del popolo, anziani, sapienti, consiglieri e priori, sostennero per il Comune frequenti ed onorevoli ambascerie ed uffici pubblici. Più volte, nei secoli XIII e XIV, li troviamo tra i riformatori e compilatori del patrio statuto.
