Originaria dalla Lombardia, fu trapiantata in Orvieto da Amadio sul principio del secolo XVII. Suo figlio Giovanni Battista sposò Caterina Missini, patrizia di Orvieto, ed ebbe Flavio, Giuseppe e Francesco. Questo ultimo nacque nel 1681, fu conclavista del cardinale Acquaviva, quindi commissario della Camera, prelato referendario, canonico di San Pietro, uditore della Nunziatura di Francia, poi legato in Francia. Richiamato in Roma fu eletto vescovo di Sidonia e sembrava destinato a vestire la porpora, senonchè fu sorpreso dalla morte. Altri prelati di questa famiglia furono: Flavio, segretario della Congregazione delle Immunità. Il primo gonfaloniere di Orvieto e camerlengo dell'Opera del Duomo, fu Giovanni Battista nel 1667. La famiglia è scritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobile Italiano col titolo di patrizio di Orvieto (maschi e femmine) ed è rappresentata da Vittorio. Figli: Giulio ed Odoardo.
