La hidalga y antigua casa solar de este linaje radicó en la villa de Castro del Río, provincia de Córdoba, y fué muy principal. En el expediente de pruebas de nobleza del Caballero de la Orden de Santiago declaran los informantes que reconocieron dicha casa, lo que sigue: "Tiene vistosa fachada, y encima del balcón principal se halla el escudo de piedra de los R." En principios del siglo XVI era hija del solar de R., en Castro del Río, Juan R. de Luque, que casó y fué padre de Andrés de Duque R., que en su esposa, doña Juana Francisca del Valle, procreó a Bartolomé de Luque R., Familiar del Santo Oficio de la Inquisición, que contrajo matrimonio en Castro del Río, el 8 de Junio de 1669, con doña Antonia Gil R., su deuda (hija de Juan de Luque R. y de doña Catalina de Luque), naciendo de esa unión Andrés R. Luque y Gil R., bautizado en la iglesia mayor de Castro del Río el 25 de Agosto de 1671. Fué Alcaide del castilllo y fortaleza de la ciudad de Aguilar de la Frontera (Córdoba) y familiar del Santo Oficio. Casó en aquella ciudad, el 6 de Julio de 1698, con doña María Guerrero y Valenzuela, bautizada en Priego, también ciudad de la provincia de Córdoba, el 16 de Mayo de 1683. Tuvieron este hijo Juan Andrés R. Luque Guerrero Baena y Valenzuela, bautizado en la parroquia de Santa María de Soterraña, de Aguilar de la Frontera, el 27 de Octubre de 1702. Fué Alcalde Mayor y Regidor perpetuo de Castro del Río, y casó con doña Ana de Aguilar Tablada Muñoz de Leiva y Rivas. ...
