E' memoria di un Bernardino, mercante in Bricherasio, che fu investito dai fratelli Napione, dei redditi e diritti di giurisdizione che aveva il conte Carlo Cacherano d'Osasco in Bricherasio, l'8 febbraio 1592. Assurse questa famiglia al fastigio della nobiltà con Francesco (nato Bricherasio, 31 dicembre 1618, defunto Torino, 17 agosto 1676), di Gio. Antonio, il quale fu notaio, controllare delle finanze, tesoriere della provincia di Pinerolo (1653), provveditore e sovrintendente generale dell'artiglieria (1675). Ebbe in dono dai fratelli Gio. Battista e Teodoro Cacherano di Bricherasio porzioni di giurisdizione del feudo di Castelvecchio, il 9 gennaio 1648, di cui fu investito il 14 dicembre 1657. Altre porzioni acquistava il 2 e il 22 aprile 1662 da Gerolamo Clemente Cacherano d'Osasco e Carlo Vittorio e Domenico Cacherano d'Envie, di cui fu investito il 2 aprile 1663.
