Su genealogía es como sigue: Petecume de R. primer Barón de Ripperdá, título concedido por el Emperador del Sacro Romano Imperio Federico VI en 1474, fué padre de Bolo de R. nacido en Groninge (Holanda) donde casó y tuvo por hijo a Focas de R., nacido en Groninge y casado allí con Ana María de Ewsum, en quien tuvo a Asinga de R. y de Ewsum, natural de Groninge, donde casó con Bevina de Caters, naciendo de esta unión Leodegardo de R. y de Caters, natural de Groninge, que efectuó su enlace en dicha ciudad con Ida Lewe, padres de Wivaldo de R. y Lewe, nacido en Groninge y casado allí con Ana Isabel de Haerma y de Holwinde. Procrearon Ludolfo de R. y de Haerma, natural de Groninge, donde casó con María Isabel de Diest y de Yensema. Tuvieron este hijo Juan Guillermo de R. y de Diest de Haerma y de Yensema, nacido en Groninge el 7 de Marzo de 1680. El Rey de España don Felipe V le hizo Director de las Reales Fábricas de Guadalajara. El 22 de Noviembre de 1724 le nombró Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario en el Corte Imperial de Viena. El 24 de Junio de 1725 fué autorizado por el mismo Monarca para usar en España el título de Barón de Ripperdá. ...
