Nobility crown RoldánApellido de origen aragonés. Procede de Zaragoza. Una rama pasó a Jaén Córdoba. Entre las familias de noble linaje más antiguas de la isla de la Gomera, aparece Sebastián R. de Arvelo, que casó en el valle de Hermigua el 2 de diciembre de 1674, con Doña María Manuel, hija del capitán Antonio Fernández Méndez y de Doña Francisca Manuel. Su hijo Sebastán R. de Arvelo, casó también en Hermigua en 1719 con Doña Josefa Manzano del Castillo, hija de Lorenzo Manzano y de Doña Catalina de los Ríos. Sebastián R. del Manzano, hijo de los anteriores, fue escribano público y mayor del Cabildo de la isla de la Gomera y casó con Doña Francisca Teresa P., hija de Juan Febles y Espinosa y de Doña Leonor Peraza, oriundos de la Isla del Hierro. Continúa la línea de esta ilustre familia, a través de su hijo Don José María R. y Peraza de Ayala, que fue regidor y Alcalde mayor de la isla, electo en diciembre de 1803. Caballeros de este linaje probaron su nobleza en las Ordenes de Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara, y Carlos III y muchas veces en la Real Chancillería de Valladolid. ...
