Nobility crown RubianoLa casa solar de este apellido estaba sita en el barrio de Matienzo, del Ayuntamiento del Valle de Carranza, partido judicial de Valmaseda y provincia de Vizcaya. Era casa de antiguos infanzones, siempre tenida y reputada de notoria nobleza y vizcainía. En fines del siglo XVI pertenecía a dicha casa Juan de R., marido de doña María de la Peña, ambos naturales del Valle de Carranza, y padres de Francisco de R., bautizado en el Valle de Carranza el 4 de Octubre de 1642, que casó con doña María Sanz, y procrearon a Francisco de R. Sainz, bautizado en el lugar de Sangrices (Valle de Carranza), el 27 de Noviembre de 1686. Casó con doña Juana de la Peña, naciendo de esta unión Juan Francisco de R. y de la Peña, bautizado en el Valle de Carranza el 5 de mayo de 1730, que contrajo matrimonio con doña María Zorrilla, y tuvieron estos hijos: Francisco Antonio de R. y Zorrilla, y Juan Antonio de R. y Zorrilla. Ambos bautizados en el Valle de Carranza. El primero el 10 de Enero de 1753, y el segundo el 9 de Agosto de 1755. Los dos se avecindaron en Oviedo, y para ello probaron su nobleza y vizcainía, obteniendo real provisión en la Chancillería de Valladolid el 4 de Agosto de 1773. Con ellos hizo igual probanza su tío carnal Manuel de R. y de la Peña, bautizado en el Valle de Carranza el 26 de Mayo de 1733. ...
