Nobility crown RuesgaFamilia de la Montaña de Santander, hidalga y antigua, y originaria, sin duda, del Valle de Ruesga, cuyo nombre tomó por apellido. El Valle de Ruesga pertenece al partido judicial de Ramales y en ese mismo partido está el pueblo de Rasines, donde tuvo su asiento y casa esta familia. Todos los varones que en la siguiente genealogía figuran fueron naturales y vecinos de Rasines. Pedro de R. y su mujer doña María de Herrera, testaron en Rasines en 1661 y procrearon a Juan de R. Herrera, que sigue, y Antonia de R. Herrera. Juan de R. Herrera nació en 1639 y casó dos veces: la primera con doña Catalina de Septien, y la segunda con doña María de la Caxiga y Gil. Del primer matrimonio fueron hijos: Juan, María y Ana de R. y Septien. Del segundo matrimonio nacieron: Pedro de R. y de la Caxiga, que sigue, Rafael, María y Sebastián de R. y de la Caxiga. Pedro de R. y de la Caxiga nació en 1676 y contrajo matrimonio con doña Isabel Crespo Pico, naciendo de esta unión Juan de R. y Crespo, que sigue María, Jerónimo y Pedro de R. y Crespo. Juan de R. y Crespo nació en 1715 y fué Oficial de la Secretaría de Estado en el Despacho de marina y Caballero de Calatrava en 1748. Su hermano Jerónimo se avecindó en Madrid y probó su hidalguía en 1733. ...
