De Mallorca y Valencia. Se trata de una de las más antiguas e importantes familias de Mallorca. En 1316 era "jurat" de Palma Pedro S. Su descendiente, Pedro S. y Colomines, "jurat" por la clase de mercaderes en 1373 y ciudadano en 1382, era señor de los feudos y caballerías de Santa Margarita y Hero y fue conocido con el sobrenombre de "Príncep dels mercaders". Testó en 1395, estableciendo un fideicomiso con gravamen de apellido y armas en favor de su nieto Ramón, segundo hijo de su única hija, Francisca S. y de Marí, la cual casó con el caballero Ramón Burgues y Soriá, jefe de esta familia. Tuvieron dos hijos: Gregorio Burgues y S., que continuó el linaje de los Burgues de Mallorca, que recayó en los Quint, luego en los Morell y más tarde se refundió (1577) en los Safortesa. Ramón S., heredero de su abuelo, y por tanto señor de Santa Margarita y Hero. Fue "jurat en cap" del reino de Mallorca en 1405, y en 1415 adquirió las caballerías de Alcudiola, Castellet y Tanca. Casó dos veces, la primera con Blanca Febrer (algunos la apellidan Ferrer), y la segunda con Margarita Uniz (apellidada por algunos Núñez). Hijos: Juan S. y Febrer, que seguirá como tronco de la primera línea. Pedro-Ramón S. y Uniz, tronco de la segunda línea.
