Guillaume, époux d'Adalguarde, est dit père de Guidon et d'Avit qui vivaient en 1027. Raymond fonde, l'an 1079, une chapelle en son château de Saussac et part en 1095 pour la croisade. Autre Guillaume est cité dans une charte de 1127. Noble Jusserand, chevalier, et Bernard, clerc, rendent hommage, en 1285, 1296 et 1299, à l'évêque du Puy, de nombreux fiefs sis dans les mandements de Saussac, de Vertamise, Lapte et Chapteuil. Noble Hugon, fils de Jausserand, fait de même en 1309 et 1318, ainsi que Bertrand, qualifié clerc du Puy dans un hommage de 1309. Jausserand II, baron de Saussac et Vertamise, seigneur de Seveyrac, la Grange, Lescure, la Valette, Martial, coseigneur de Grazac, Lapte, Chapteuil, etc., fils émancipé de Hugon (1325), est qualifié chevalier en 1343. Après lui, on trouve: Noble Heliète, damoiseau, seigneur de la Rivoire, Mazard, la Roche près Saussac, Chazalée (1308-1328); Pierre, damoiseau, qui perçoit en 1328 des censives dans le mandement d'Arzon; noble dame Estelle, veuve de Giraud Chandorat de Mons, chevalier (1362); Hugues (1363); Guillaume, seigneur de Livinhac, des Ollières, etc. (1383); noble Jausserand, chevalier (1383), baron de Saussac et Vertamise, seigneur de Serrières, mariè à Marie de Roussillon-Anjou, dame de Virville, etc. Deux abbesses de l'abbaye royale de St-André-le-Haut de Vienne (1454-1487). Éteinte en 1611 avec Guione, fille de Richard-Melchior, baron, mariée le 21 janvier 1546 à Cristophe de Fay-Gerlande, maître d'hôtel du duc d'Anjou. ...
