La casa solar de este apellido estaba sita en la ciudad de Gerona. En el primer tercio del presente siglo pertenecía al doctor Miguel Pujadas. Y cerca de Gerona se hallaba la torre Samsona, propiedad de los S., quienes ya eran caballeros de la Orden de San Juan, en el Gran Priorato de Cataluña, en el año 1500. De la citada casa procedió y vivía en principios del siglo XVI. Joaquín S. y Rocabruna, que casó con doña Mariángela Montpalau y procrearon a Narciso S. y Montpalau, que contrajo matrimonio con doña María Alemany-Descatllar y Bru, naciendo de esta unión Mariángela S. y Alemany-Descatllar, mujer de José Bru y Mora, de familia de ciudadanos honrados de Barcelona. Las armas se ven en la casa de S. de la ciudad de Gerona, en la torre Samsona, cerca de Gerona, en al capilla del convento de franciscanos y en sus claustros y sepulturas, alguna de las cuales data del año 1341. También se ven las mismas armas en el claustro de la catedral de Barcelona.En un sello de Pedro S., del siglo XIV y que se guarda en el Archivo Municipal de Barcelona, figura un escudo con tres fajas, cuyos esmaltes no se aprecian.
