Famille d'origine noble qui a eu le principal établissement au XVIIème siècle en Lorraine. A la date du 9 octobre 1592, époque à laquelle les Pères Jésuites prirent possession du collège de Périgueux, on voit figure, parmi les signataires du contrat passé entre eux et la Ville, Nicolas, avocat au Parlament de Bordeaux. Cette famille compte parmi les maires de Périgueux: en 1635, Hélie, seigneur de Fonpitou ancien repaire noble, commune de Saint-Martial-de Viveyrols avocat; en 1639, Pierre, seigneur de Fonpitou, conseiller; en 1658-1659, François, écuyer, seigneur de la Rolandie, avocat. C'est sur une requête de ce denier que des lettres confirmatives des privilèges de la Ville furent données par Louis XIV et enregistrées au greffe de la Cour des aides de Bordeaux, le 26 mai 1659. Dans les jugements des intendants de Bordeaux portant maintenue de noblesse, figure, à la date du 12 août 1698. Nicolas, seigneur de la Rolandie. Titres nobiliaires de cette famille: anobli par lettres patentes en 1776, concession du souverain (reprise de la noblesse maternelle). Armes de cette famille: d'azur à l'épée d'argent surmontée d'une couronne d'or accostée de 2 fleurs de lys du même. ...
