Linaje catalán muy antiguo, con importante rama en Mallorca desde los tiempos de su conquista. Lo llevó a aquella isla Pedro S., natural de Barcelona, y en el reparto general de las tierras le fué asignada la alquería "Luch abenandax", en el término de Montueri. Sus sucesores se establecieron después en la villa de Petra en el mismo siglo de la conquista. En 1405 era descendiente de esta familia mallorquina y conseller del reino, Pedro S., natural y vecino de Petra, y el mismo cargo desempeñó, en 1472 y 1475, Juan S., de la misma villa. Eusebio S. brilló como letrado. En 1612 fué enviado a la corte para informar al rey de importantes asuntos de la isla. Rafael S. era jurado de la ciudad y reino de Mallorca en 1615, y Miguel S., jurado en 1703, 1707 y 1711. El Doctor en Derecho, Miguel S. y Giliba fué nombrado Oidor de la Real Audiencia de Mallorca en 1697. Ya en 1643 había sido insaculado por la clase noble. Falleció el 11 de Noviembre de 1702. De su matrimonio con doña Unissa Truyols nació Joaquín S. Truyols, casado con doña María Dureta y Mut. Murió sin más sucesión que dos hijas llamadas María Francisca y Leonor. La primera casó con Felipe Fuster y Villalonga y por ella entró la casa de Fuster a poseer un vínculo y parte de la hacienda de los S. con gravamene de nombre y armas. La segunda hija, Leonor, contrajo matrimonio con Guillermo Dezcallar y de Oleza. De los esposo doña María Francisca y don Felipe Fuster fué hijo Joaquín María Fuster y S. ...
