This family is originally from the city of San Donino and arrived in Florence with a Benincasa, of Ciuto , notary of the Signoria in 1332, who was buried in San Lorenzo in the year 1335. His son Domenico, also a notary, was called to carry out his profession in the service of the Signoria three times between 1361 and 1371. Also Francesco, brother of Domenico, had a political relevance participating in the Signoria in 1363 and in 1374. The same Francesco received the concession of the chief of Anjou by Charles VIII, King of France. His remains were buried in San Pancrazio.
