Nel 1685 fu aggregata al patriziato veneto, ed ottenne la conferma di sua nobiltà con sovrana risoluzione 30 Novembre 1817. Numerosi personaggi di tale cognome si trovano di sovente menzionati nei documenti notarili fin dai secoli trascorsi, dai quali appare che erano di condizione nobile.
