Nobility crown SerentTrès illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Menguy, fils Marquis, fait une fondation à Saint-Sauveur de Redon en 1110; Conan et Judicaël, son fils, témoins d'une fondation du comte de Porhoët au prieuré de Josselin en 1118; Guéthénoc, croisé en 1239, mentionné dans un compte rendu au duc Jean le Roux en 1274; Alain, vivant en 1328 épouse Gillette de Malestroit, dont: Jean, l'un des écuyers du combat des Trente en 1350, marié à Jeanne de Saint-Gilles; trois chevaliers de Malte depuis 1663; un abbé de Prières en 1681, mort en 1727; un président de la noblesse aux États de 1774 et 1776; plusieurs membres admis aux honneurs de la cour depuis 1754. La branche aînée fondue au XIV siècle dans la Chapelle, d'où la terre de cette famille, est passée par alliance aux Rosmadec, puis aux Sénéchal, et par acquêt en 1787 aux Castel; la branche du Tromeur fondue dans Montauban, puis Avaugour; la branche de Kerfily qui a produit un conseiller au parlement, chevalier de l'ordre en 1635, a fini à Armand-Louis, duc de cette famille, grand d'Espagne pair de France, lieutenant-général des armées du Roi, ancien gouverneur des ducs d'Angoulême et de Berry, marié en 1754 à Bonne-Marie de Montmorency-Luxembourg, mort en 1822, père d'un colonel au régiment d'Angoulême, tué en Bretagne en 1796 et des duchesses de Narbonne-Pelet et de Damas-Crux. ...
