Nobility crown SillittiNobilissima famiglia, di origine spagnola, la quale appare in Sicilia, verso il 1426, con un Pier Corrado, Governatore in Girgenti. I suoi numerosi figli si propagarono per tutta la Sicilia, dando lustro e prestigio al casato. Il ceppo dei Sillitti di Campobello, infatti, trae origine da Ignazio, del fu Giovanni, nato a Palermo nel 1736, laureato in medicina, marito Giuseppina Collura di Campobello di Licata, il quale, nel 1802, acquistò, da Luigi Moncada Ruffo, principe di Paternò, 16 aratati di terra per 22.000 onze, il feudo di Giulfo e la Baronia di Ravanusa, morendo, però, prima di prendere possesso della proprietà, il 27 aprile 1803 a Campobello di Licata. Il di lui figlio, Giovanni (15/06/1764 - 18/03/1831), proconservatore in Campobello di Licata nell'anno 1804, sposò, nel 1802, Ignazia Gallo di Ravanusa e si investì del feudo di Giulfo, divenendo barone di Ravanusa, in data 20 settembre 1803.
