Linaje de Mallorca, cuyo primitivo solar fué el predio llamado "Fangar", del lugar de Campanet y partido judicial de Inca. En el siglo XIV ya poseía esta familia en la villa de La Puebla, que también pertenece al partido judicial de Inca, los marjales con los pastos y diezmos de la parte cultivable, sobre cuya propiedad hubo después litigios con el procurador del reino. Juan S. y Gilbert, Doctor en ambos derechos y Oidor de la Real Audiencia de Mallorca, perteneció al Consejo del Rey Carlos II. Su nieto, Juan S., también Doctor en ambos derechos, era Regidor perpetuo del Ayuntamiento de Palma, y, al morir, le sustituyó en el mismo cargo su hijo Isidro S. y Esteva, Teniente del Cuerpo de Provinciales de Mallorca.
