Nobility crown SolProcede de Cataluña. Tuvo su casa solar en la villa de Santa Coloma de Gramanet, del partido judicial de Barcelona. Silvestre del S. y Soler, Señor de esa casa en el primer tercio del siglo XVIII, casó con doña María Antonia de Martorell y de Artigas, vecina de Barcelona, y procrearon a Juan Antonio del S. y Martorell, Señor de la misma casa, bautizado en Barcelona el 31 de Marzo de 1760. Pasó a Chile, quedando allí establecido. En la ciudad de Santiago contrajo matrimonio, el 18 de Octubre de 1798, con doña Rosa Francisa Solano, bautizada en la parroquia del Sagrario de dicha ciudad el 15 de Septiembre de 1798, heredera del título de Marqués del Valle de Tojo e hija de Joaquín Pérez de Uriondo y de doña Inés Vicenta Menéndez de Valdés. Estos esposos, como se ve, no figuran con el apellido Solano, que en primer lugar lleva su hija doña Rosa Francisca. No se explica en la fuente informativa de la que tomamos estos datos, el motivo a que tal cambio obedeció, quizás impuesto por algún vínculo que de la familia Solano Chilena pasara a heredar la repetida doña Rosa. Esta señora falleció en Santiago el 13 de Junio de 1823, dejando de su matrimonio con don Juan Antonio del S. dilatada descendencia en Chile, y cuyo pariente mayor gozaba, en 1917, del título de Marqués del Valle de Tojo, rehabilitado en don Vicente del S. y Veyán por Real carta fechada en Madrid el 29 de Noviembre de 1876. ...
