La casa asturiana pintaba en su escudo las armas de los Valdés, de Gijón, y las de Busto, lo cual indica su estrecha relación con esos linajes. La familia catalana tenía su casa solar en la plaza de San Juan, de la ciudad de Berga (Barcelona). De esta casa era descendiente en principios del siglo XVI Felipe de S. y Rovira, marido de doña Eulalia Paguera, padres de José S., que casó con doña Teodora Ortaffá, y procrearon a Josefa S., que contrajo matrimonio con Francisco de Ros, Conde de San Feliús, de la familia Ros de Perpiñán, naciendo de esta unión Juan de Ros y S., que sigue, y José de R. y Sorribas, bautizado en Perpiñán el 10 de Diciembre de 1686. Ingresó en la Orden de San Juan de Jerusalén en 1698. Juan de Ros y S. fué Conde de San Feliús y casó con doña María de Margarit y de Negrell. Tuvieron estos hijos: Antonio de Ros y Margarit S. que sigue, y Juan Bautista Javier de Ros y Margarit S., bautizado en Perpiñán el 25 de Febrero de 1712 y Caballero de la Orden de San Juan en 1733. Antonio de Ros y Margarit S. casó con doña María Teresa Delpás y Generés, en quien tuvo a José de Ros Delpás, bautizado en Perpiñán el 14 de Octubre de 1755. Fué también Caballero de la Orden de SanJuan, en la que ingresó en 1767. ...
