Nobility crown SpinelloEste apellido es muy extendido en la penísula con numerosas casas solariegas. Por referencias de historiadores de la época y otras averiguadas por Araldis en los archivos registrales de ciudades y otros privados, podríamos afirmar, pero no asegurar, que este escudo u otro muy similar a él, apareció inicialmente desde el siglo XI al XIV, particularmente en la batalla de Alarcos donde Alfonso VIII, rey de Castilla, fué derrotado en 1195 y donde el propio rey acompañado de sus huestes, entre las que formaban parte miembros de esta familia, resistieron heroicamente aunque posteriormente fueron excomulgados por el papa Celestino III. Las referencias de esta familia parecen precisarse con más frecuencia desde el siglo XV al XIX en especial los hechos de la secretaria del duque de Osuna, que junto con el marqués de Villafranca y el marqués de Bedmar, prepara ron la "conjura de Venecia" para el 14 de Mayo de 1618, abortada por el aún no superado servicio de información de la Serenísima República de Venecia y su Consejo de los Diez. Todo ello parece coincidir con la memoria familiar de algunos de los miembros de la rama de la familia Spinello. Son sus armas: En oro, una faja, de gules cargada de tres estrellas de oro. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia S., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento faja quiere decir que pertenecieron a órdenes militares de caballería. Los esmaltes del arma de los S. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Oro es el símbolo del Sol, origen de la vida, sus características espirituales corresponden a la fé, clemencia, templanza, caridad y justicia, por otra parte dicho esmalte señala a la familia con la felicidad, el amor, la nobleza y el esplendor, es decir, es el más noble de los metales. ...
